We are happy to now offer custom shell pendants with shells provided by customers.
We often get messages asking if customers can send in shells from places special to them and their loved ones. For this Holiday season, we thought it would be a great way to offer a sentimental and meaningful gift.
How to proceed:
Email hello@duntonellerkamp.com with images of your shells. The shells have to be on the sturdier / thicker side. You should be able to apply pressure with your fingers without them cracking. The shells we use in our pendants generally are under 1.5” in circumference. The images in the listing illustrate the range of shell pendants we have created in the past. Once approved, we will ask you to purchase the service through this website listing.
We will then ask that you send 3 - 5 shells to our studio for us to select from.
For gold, we price the pendants by size with the smallest shells (under 0.5 inch circumference) starting at $1,300 and the largest size (up to 2 inches in circumference) at $2,200.
Upon receiving the shells, the production time is 3 - 4 weeks.
Each piece is hand carved, cast, and finished in New York.
